Two Ways to Get a Price

The fast way costs you two minutes and tells you whether the project is worth pursuing. The careful way costs you an email and gives you a price we will hold ourselves to in writing. Most customers start with the first and confirm with the second.

Instant estimate — for deciding whether to bother

Upload an STL, OBJ or 3MF and the engine prices it in your browser, in the process, material and quantity you choose. Seconds, no account. It is calculated from the geometry of the file at published market rates, and it is an indication rather than an offer — the page says so and we do not pretend otherwise.

Written price from an engineer — for ordering

Send the model or a drawing and a person will look at it properly: orientation, supports, mesh condition, tolerances, finishing, lead time. You get the exact price in writing, with the lead time, within one working day. Nothing is charged and nothing starts until you approve it.

Payment, Inspection and Delivery

Short version, and it is the same short version that appears in the terms of sale.

ItemWhat it means
Deposit50% of the order value starts production. The slot is booked when the deposit lands and the file is frozen.
BalanceThe remaining 50% is due before dispatch. It is not due before you have seen the inspection photographs.
How to payBank transfer (T/T) to our company account. For small orders, Wise or PayPal — ask first, as platform fees are added at cost.
InspectionPhotographs and video of the finished parts as standard. A live video walkthrough on request. Third-party inspection if your quality system requires it.
DeliveryExpress courier for boxed parts (DHL, FedEx, UPS), freight for pallets and powder. All orders are priced EXW Guangzhou. Courier orders ship DAP; freight is arranged by your forwarder or one of ours.
Duties and taxesPayable by you as the importer. The carrier collects them before delivery on courier shipments.

The full version, including changes, cancellation, remedies and the law that applies, is on the terms of sale.

WHAT TO SEND

What We Need From You

The same list applies whichever route you take — it is only shorter when the geometry is simple.

  • The model: STL, OBJ or 3MF for the instant quote; STEP or IGES if you want the geometry itself reviewed rather than a mesh approximation of it.
  • Quantity — and whether it is a one-off, a first article, or the beginning of a series. The pricing shape is different for each.
  • The process and material if you have a view. If you do not, describe what the part has to do instead and we will pick.
  • Anything the part has to mate with: bearing seats, threads, an existing housing, a bolt pattern. Send the mating part if you have it.
  • Critical tolerances, marked on the drawing. Unmarked dimensions are held to the comfortable default for the process, which is not the same number on every geometry.
  • Surface finish: as-printed, sanded, primed, painted to a RAL, dyed, vapour-smoothed, anodised, passivated, polished.
  • Deadline and destination country, so that shipping and duties are quoted with the part rather than discovered afterwards.

Never sent us a part before? The three things that most often come back as questions are quantity, which dimensions are critical, and the destination country.

FAQ

Before You Send It

The questions that decide whether the number holds up.

Is the instant estimate a ballpark, or a commitment?

A ballpark, and we say so on the page rather than in the small print. It is calculated in your browser from the geometry of your file at published market rates, and it is not an offer. The number we send you in writing, after an engineer has read the model, is the one that binds us.

What if the written price comes back higher than the estimate?

We tell you why, and you are free to walk away — nothing starts until you approve the written price. The usual reasons are an orientation chosen to protect a load-bearing feature, supports that a thin-walled part needs, mesh repair before the file can be built, a tighter tolerance on one dimension, or a finishing step that was not in the estimate.

What currency are your prices in, and what is not included?

US dollars unless we state otherwise, and the production price covers production only. Freight, insurance, import duties and taxes are quoted separately — give us the destination country and we will add the shipping that applies to it.

How long does a written quote stay valid?

30 days from its date, except quotations for metal powder, which are valid for 7 days because the metal price moves. Once you have approved a written price the production price does not change; if your file changes, we re-quote.

What are the payment terms, and do I pay before I see anything?

50% deposit to start production, and the balance before dispatch. You are not asked for the balance before the inspection photographs have been sent to you, and we do not dispatch before it has cleared. Bank transfer is the default; Wise or PayPal on request for small orders.
